You are using Diollo through TestFlight because we invited you by name. The app is unfinished. Beta data may be reset or deleted as the product changes; we will tell you first where we can, but do not treat it as permanent storage. If you want a copy of anything, ask us and we will send it.
You record a voice note or type one. We store it, turn speech into text, and use an AI model to organise what you said into your own private records. Everything is private to your account. We do not sell data, show ads, or let any other user see your content.
What we do not collect: no analytics, no crash reporting, no contacts, no health data, no advertising identifiers, no browsing history. There are no ads and no data brokers.
Your captures will mention other people ("dinner with Anna"). Diollo keeps private records of those mentions so your own library is useful to you, as a paper diary would. They are never published, never shared with other users, and never used by us for anything except showing you your own library. If you want a person taken out of your library, ask us (see Your rights): their page and every record about them are removed and the app is told never to file them again. The raw words of your recordings and transcripts are kept as you spoke them, so a name can still sit inside a diary sentence; deleting the capture removes that too.
During the beta we keep your recordings (see below). If someone else speaks in a recording, their voice is kept too. Diollo is built for your own notes, spoken by you; do not record other people without telling them.

Each provider receives only what its task needs. We will update this table before any new provider touches your content.
Getting your words right is the whole product, and the only way to tune transcription is to keep the recordings it was tuned on. So during the beta every recording is kept in a private store that only our server can read (never the app, never anyone else); your phone keeps its own copy too. Before Diollo launches publicly, a legal review decides whether recordings are kept, deleted, or never leave the phone, and this page changes with it. If you would like your recordings deleted sooner, ask.
Your diary is free text and you may say sensitive things in it. We do not ask for, look for, or infer anything sensitive; whatever you say stays your private content, handled as above.
Your content stays for as long as your account exists, subject to the beta resets above. When you ask us to delete your account we remove your recordings, transcripts, records and the account itself within 30 days, backups included. Recordings at AssemblyAI expire under the plan terms in the table.
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it (a person from your library, a single capture, or the whole account), or to stop processing it. During the beta the in-app tools for this are still being built, so email privacy@diollo.app and we will do it by hand within a month, usually the same day. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk); we would appreciate the chance to sort it out first.
Your content is stored with per-account access controls (row-level security), so only your signed-in account can read your data. Recordings live in a private store no app can reach. One person runs Diollo and has access to production systems.
Diollo is not for children and you must be at least 13 to use it.
If we change this policy in a way that matters (a new provider, a new kind of data, a new use), we tell you in the app or by email before the change applies, and update the date above.
